Directions To The Flying Field
(2460 Chualar River Road, Chualar CA)
From the North on Highway 101: Leave Highway 101 at the Chualar exit, 12
miles South of Salinas. Turn right, cross railroad tracks, and proceed
0.5 mile to Chualar River Road. Turn right onto Chualar River Road, and
proceed 1.5 miles to the SAM flying field turn off. The turn off is on
the left side of the road, at a sweeping right turn and before the bridge.
From the South on Highway 101: Leave Highway 101 at the Chualar exit, turn left to cross the highway overpass and railroad tracks, and proceed as above.
From the North on Highway 1: Leave Highway l at the Reservation Road (Marina) exit. Follow Reservation Road through Marina and South 9 miles to the Highway 68 underpass. At this point the road changes name to River Road. No turn is necessary, proceed straight through the underpass and another 9 miles to the intersection of River Road and Chualar River Road at a bridge. Cross the bridge and proceed 0.5 mile to the SAM field turn off, on the right side of a sweeping left turn.
From the South on Highway 1: Leave Highway 1 at the Highway 68 (Salinas) exit, and proceed 12.5 miles to the River Road exit. Turn right onto River Road, and proceed another 9 miles to the intersection of River Road and Chualar River Road at a bridge. Cross the bridge and proceed 0.5 mile to the SAM field turn off, on the right side of a sweeping left turn.
