Visitors and Guests

Visitors are welcome at the flying field whenever club members are present. The gate is kept locked at other times. With reasonable flying weather, the field is usually open by 9:00 on weekend mornings, and randomly during week days. A group of regulars, mostly retirees, gather on Tuesday and Thursday mornings for what has become known as 'Old Fart's Day'. Flying is often halted when winds become strong in early afternoon. Guest pilots from other clubs may fly as a guest of a club member. AMA membership and a gold stickered (or modern narrow-band) radio are required. Youth group leaders wishing to conduct a group visit should contact a club officer.
